Busted: Teen Allegedly Assaults Counselor

A Summerville teen is facing assault charges after allegedly punching her residential counselor at a group home that focuses on teenagers with psychiatric problems.

The incident occured Aug. 12 at Pinelands Group Home on West Luke Street.

According to the incident report, the residential counselor was struck twice after the allegedly aggressive 16-year-old refused to go into a "time-out" room. She was charged with assault and battery 1st degree.
