Charleston Airport Authorizes Bonds for $199M Renovation

Terminal redevelopment and improvement program to be funded with bonds.

Charleston County Aviation Authority has authorized financing $199 million in renovations with mostly bonds, Charleston Regional Business Journal reported.

The authority will likely sell $139 million in bonds at 6 percent interest to finance the renovations for terminal redevelopment and improvement program. Of the $199 million, $34.4 million will come from aviation authority funds.
