A Summerville Police officer was injured in a single-vehicle wreck Tuesday morning when his vehicle struck the brick wall as he turned from Bacons Bridge Road to East Carolina Avenue, WISTV.com reported.
The accident occured at around 6:30 a.m. and traffic was redirected around the intersection for about an hour after the incident.
The officer was taken to Summerville Medical. Capt. Jon Rogers told Patch as of 1 p.m. Tuesday the officer was still at the hospital, but did not know his condition.
