In the next few days, Suzanne Powell of Knightsville Elementary needs to raise $350, which she will use to create a "free" school store, using a new storage cabinet, in which donated school supplies can be given to children from low income families. - Tara Stafford of Fort Dorchester Elementary. Need: $1,241. Intended use: purchase of paper to construct artist sketchbooks and portfolios to begin the 2012-2013 school year
- Virginia Fowler of Flowertown Elementary. Need: $70. Intended use: purchase of a filing system consisting of envelopes and filing cards to keep their sheet music organized
- Ariana Hudson of Knightsville Elementary. Need: $228. Intended use: purchase of folders for students' writing notebooks and phonics notebooks, and purchase of construction paper for various art activities
- Christina Barbaro of Sangaree Elementary. Need: $194. Intended use: purchase of 26 Scholastic Classroom Magazines to provide the children a window into current events
- Michelle Padgett of Summerville High. Need: $912. Intended use: purchase of five iPods for students to listen to young adult novels during silent, sustained reading time to advance their fluency and reading skills.
