Downtown Shops Extend Hours Every Thursday

Downtown shops will stay open until 8 p.m. every Thursday starting Sept. 6, the Journal Scene reports. 

The new hours is an extension of Third Thursday, the monthly event that features music and 8 p.m. close times around downtown.

The publication quoted DREAM's Executive Director Susan Morris:

"In an effort to be more accessible to the local residents who are working 9-5 p.m. and don’t have a chance to shop in our great downtown businesses during the week, 20-plus shops and restaurants have decided to remain open late every Thursday evening," Morris said.
