Father Found Guilty in Death of Son

Roger Williams convicted in son's death, sentenced to life in prison.

Roger Williams will spend the rest of his life in prison now that a jury has found him guilty of homicide by child abuse, the Post and Courier reported.

Williams' son Rodricus was 2 years old when law enforcement found him dead and buried in 400 pounds of concrete. The boy's mother Grace Trotman has already pleaded guilty in the incident and awaits sentencing.

(Trotman) claimed she did “pop” the toddler before he died, causing him to hit his head on the wall, but she said Williams had hit the child many times before that. Trotman told the jury earlier this week Williams forbade her from calling an ambulance after the child was unresponsive. Williams stuffed his dead son’s body into a trash can of cement in June 2010.
