Five Summerville Restaurants Get 100 on Inspection

Six receive B rating for being in the 'marginal to acceptable' range during DHEC's unannounced routine inspection.

Five Summerville restaurants have received a perfect score on recent DHEC restaurant inspections of 100. Many more received an 88 and above, scoring an "A" grade.

Opa Cafe made a 98 on a follow-up inspection, after receiving an 86. An "A" means a restaurant's sanitation and food safety practices scored appeared to be in the "acceptable to very good: range during DHEC's unannounced routine inspection.

Here's who got perfect 100s since Sept. 17:

  • McDonald's on Dorchester Road
  • Chili's Bar and Grill on Dorchester Road
  • Our Daily Bread on Trolley Road
  • Las Americas on E. 5th North Street (return visit after receiving an 82)
  • Bushido Japanese Restaurant on Dorchester Road

Here's who got below a 88, or a "B," since Sept. 17:

  • Dragon House on Bacons Bridge (82, B)
  • Oscar's Place on W. 5th North Street (82, B)
  • New Winner Chinese on N. Cedar Street (86, B)
  • Tuscan Bistro on Trolley Road (82, B)
  • Icehouse (85, B)
  • Sweetwater Grill(84, B)

A Grade B means the restaurant was in the "marginal to acceptable" range during DHEC's unannounced routine inspection.

No restaurants received a "C" grade.
