Letter to the Editor: John Taylor

John Taylor writes Patch in response to C.M. Walker's letter.

After reviewing I find myself having to apologize to him. Mr. Walker replies that he never said that the deputy, Smith, brutally beat the prisoner in the back seat of a patrol car. I stand corrected ladies and gentlemen Mr. Walker never used the word brutally. However, he did use the word beat, lets define beat, to strike repeatedly to pound. Guess there may be a difference, however, one slap does not constitute repeatedly strike or pound. I would also like to add that I never said what occurred was correct or right and the Officer was & deserved to be punished. It's certainly no Rodney King incident as Mr. Walker would like everyone to believe. Since Mr. Walker wants to be so righteous lets question the ex-deputy who is actively campaigning for Mr. Turner, supposedly investigated for aligations of inappropriate conduct with a juvenile. Whats the story behind that Mr. Walker, is there any truth behind these rumors and if so why would Mr. Turner have someone like that in his corner?

By the way Mr. Walker, or who ever you are, Mr. Benjamin Franklin wrote letters to the newspaper as Silence Dogood, not Dogwood, and dogood still stands for doing good. And you and I have absolutely nothing in common, for you sir admit that you are hiding behind a fake identy, AKA (Also Known As), isn't AKA's something criminals use to hide their identy from law enforcement.

Mr. Walker is right about one thing, ladies and gentlemen, I do not hear people who openly oppose the Sheriff's Office. I mean don't only criminals oppose law enforcement! Good citizens may not agree with the individuals politics or political practices but they never oppose the law.
