County Council candidate responds to Councilman David Chinnis regarding county vehicle use.

Mr. Chinnis,
Yes, I did feel paying $640 plus dollars for information that does not exist was high.

Ashley Jacobs email dated 4/17/12 advised me, “we do not readily have reports with the kind of information that you're requesting.”
I filed the FOI request on 4/2/12 and I was not given access to the records until 5/1/12 stated in an email from County Council Chair Larry Hargett. And yes I advised Ms. Jacobs I was ill and it may be a week or more but would let her know when I could come to her office.

So Mr Chinnis, it takes the county 30-plus days to give me access, but you feel I must act within 14 days even if ill and having a death in the family in the 14 days, seems pretty one sided to me. But I willing to let the votes make their own decision on the facts.
You also stated “Mr Goodman is patently false, in my opinion saying” “for the purpose which Jason Ward and the county staff did not know about.” Mr Chinnis, please read the below e-mail from your Chairman of Council, I will accept your apology if offered. Maybe you are just not in the loop
Roger,In reference to the vehicle in question, this vehicle was under the Sheriff's control and had been identified as a surplus vehicle to be sold on gov.net. However, the Sheriff requested that the sale of this vehicle be posted for sale at a later date because he needed the vehicle, temporarily, for a purpose which Jason Ward and the County Staff did not know about. The vehicle has now been pulled from the Sheriff's Office and posted for sale on gov.net.
Thanks, Roger.
Larry Hargett
As for the Magistrates Office, Mr. Hearn made the statement council called for a audit of the magistrates office and found nothing wrong. I never brought this up, Mr Hearn did. He should be clear and not mislead.
Mr Chinnis, I do thank you for confirming the substance of my pointing out the vehicle issue so the county could correct it. Do you think Mr. Hearn still takes the position my complaints have no substance?
I have pointed out very clearly Mr. Chinnis' issues with the facts. I would like to personally invite Councilman Chinnis and Councilman Jay Byars to come to my home and review any and all emails or documents to collect the facts before writing letters and making statements to support their fellow Councilman Bill Hearn which clearly wants to hurt my creditability with unsubstantiated and false statements in a attempt to win reelection with fellow Councilman's assistance .
