Summerville Police are in the early stages of an investigation into who shot a man in the back and where it happened.
At around 10:15 p.m. Monday, officers responded to the Kangaroo gas station near the corner of Boonehill and Orangeburg roads. A man who was shot in the back while in the vehicle and his friend were discovered.
The victim was transported to MUSC where he was treated and released.
