Victim shot in stomach during a Saturday burglary in Summerville, remains in hospital.

A Summerville man remains in the hospital after being shot in the stomach Saturday during a Crestwood home invasion, according to Dorchester County Sheriff's Office.
Robert Bean, 56, alerted authorities after he said a black man wearing a mask broke into his home at around 2:30 a.m. July 7. He reported the man woke him up and demanded he open his safe. Bean said more than $2,000 in jewelry and money was stolen.
After opening the safe, Bean reported the suspect taped him up and then shot him in the stomach with a semi-automatic handgun.Â
