Woman Sentenced to 15 Years in Death of Toddler
Grace Trotman pleaded guilty to homicide by child abuse.

The Summerville woman who pleaded guilty in the death of her boyfriend's 2-year-old son received 15 years in prison for the crime of homicide by child abuse. A judge sentenced her Tuesday, according to multiple media reports.
Rodricus Williams was found buried in 400 pounds of concrete in 2010. An account by Trotman claimed the child's father Roger Williams hit the child "many times" and that she "popped" the child, causing him to fall and hit his head.
A month after Rodricus died, the couple had claimed he fell into the water at the Charleston Battery, which launched a search and rescue effort that lasted several hours.Â
