Wendell Barr “Pap” Bailey, Sr., 78, of North Charleston, passed away Friday, November 30, 2012 at Life Care Center of Charleston.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, December 3, 2012 from 6 to 8 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, Summerville. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 1 o’clock at Bethany United Methodist Church, Spell Chapel, 118 W 3rd Street South, Summerville. Burial will follow in Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville.

Mr. Bailey was born February 14, 1934 in Camden, SC, son of the late Harold Wayne Bailey and Hattie Belle Gardner Bailey. He graduated from Hillcrest High School, Sumter. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He retired as Plant Manager of Foster Dixiana.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Dorchester Children in Crisis, 303 East Richardson Ave., Summerville, SC 29483.

Survivors include his former wife; Jacque Bailey of North Charleston, a son; Wendell Barr Bailey, Jr. (Angela) of Summerville, a daughter; Juleigh Fleming (Robert) of Goose Creek; four grandchildren; Paige Bailey, Will Bailey, Robbie Fleming and Bailey Fleming and two brothers; Wayne Bailey of Sumter and Jerry Bailey of Sumter.
