Poll: Dorchester Two Referendum Moves Forward
Dorchester County School District Two school board discusses possibility of bringing four new schools to district.

If Dorchester County School District Two school board has its way, the district could see three new elementary schools and one new middle school pending a fall referendum, ABC News reports.
, according to an April poll of likely voters. School officials say the referendum could increase property tax bills by $84-126 per $100,000 home.Â
According to Dorchester County Auditor J.J. Messervy, an owner-occupied home in the limits of Summerville currently pays $685.20 per $100,000, adjusted with property tax relief but not including fees. A non-owner-occupied home in town pays $2,095.20 per $100,000, adjusted with property tax relief but not including fees.
