Dorchester School District Two is now accepting student applications for R.H. Rollings Middle School of the Arts for the 2013-2014 School year. Approximately 212 students will be accepted for next year’s sixth grade class. Applications will only be accepted from current fifth grade students who reside in Dorchester School District Two attendance area.
Rollings is a school for the fine and performing arts for artistically inclined students in grades six,seven, and eight. The arts areas offered students are band, dance, piano, string orchestra, theatre arts,visual art, and vocal music. The acceptance process is based on audition.

Application forms for Rollings have been sent home with all fifth grade students in Dorchester School District Two. The applications are also available online at the Dorchester School District website www.dorchester2.k12.sc.us/ and at the Gifted & Fine Arts Center, 805 South Main Street in Summerville.
The deadline for completed applications is 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17.

Completed applications should be mailed or delivered to the Gifted & Fine Arts Center.
Auditions for admittance to the school will be held in January 2013. Proof of residency in Dorchester School District Two will be required at the time of audition.
