
Monday was the last time Dorchester County School District Two's board met with member Bo Blanton. Blanton will not seek reelection to the school board this year.
During Monday's meeting, Superintendent Joe Pye unveiled a framed photo of Blanton, and school board members spoke about Blanton.
"The two words that descibe Bo Blanton is honesty and integrity, and you don't get better than that," Chair Frances Townsend said.

Blanton, known for his brevity, summed up his 16 years of service.Â
"I don't hear as well, I don't see as well. I've got some new parts, but I've loved every minute of it," Blanton said.

There are three open spots on the school board, and two incumbents — Barbara Crosby and Lisa Tupper — are seeking reelection among five other challengers.Â
