School Referendum Campaign Raises $12,750

PTAs give more than 50 percent of the money raised to referendum.

Yes4Schools has raised $12,750 to support Dorchester County School District Two's $179 million bond referendum, which will be placed before voters Nov. 6, according to S.C. Ethics Commission.

PTA groups have the highest frequency of donation to the campaign. PTAs have donated $6,500 or more than 50 percent of total donations.

The largest single donor to the Yes4Schools campaign is South Carolina construction company Thompson Construction Group Inc., which has donated $5,000.

According to the group's website, Thomspon's services "range from commercial and industrial construction and maintenance to architectural services, industrial cleaning, industrial supply distribution and commercial and industrial HVAC services."
