Hours after a candlelight vigil and community vows to end violence, a man was shot and taken to the hospital in the Robynwyn community early Sunday morning, according to ABC News 4.
Shane Newman suffered a gunshot wound to his left side, according to the TV news station. He had stopped his vehicle to check a bad headlight when he was shot, ABC News reported.

Earlier this month, John Elliot Hancock was shot to death outside his Robynwyn home. Saturday night, a community candlelight vigil focused on ending the violence was held in nearby Wassamassaw Park.Â
