Six Years for Summerville Man Convicted in Death of West Ashley Cyclist

Jason Frank Marion, 32, of Summerville pleaded guilty to reckless homicide.

A Summerville man will serve six years in prison for the May 2012 death of a West Ashley cyclist, the Post and Courier reported.

Jason Frank Marion, 32, of Summerville pleaded guilty to reckless homicide Tuesday, the publication reported.

Marion was charged withΒ scene of a collision resulting in death and a municipal charge of failure to exercise due care while operating a vehicle, after his vehicle struck Gerard Nieto who was riding his bicycle on Savannah Highway.
