Skateboarders Donate More Money For Park

Want to be part of history? The fundraising continues with engraved bricks.

Summerville skateboarders brought the Town of Summerville another check to go toward the planned skateboard park Monday, and are now offering a new fundraiser to help build the park.

The check brings the group's total raised to $1,652.

Bill Ridenour, owner of Inland Surf & Skate Shop, along with skaters Preston Caliguri, Clay Moeller and Dave Watkins presented a check for $1000 to the mayor and town council.

Watkins and his employer, , hosted a July 21 fundraiser that raised $937. Eric Price, managing partner of Montreux, decided to make it an even $1,000 and donated the balance. 

To help continue raising money, Ridenour is offering engraved bricks, which will be displayed in the new skatepark. Each brick is $50. Stop by Inland Skate Shop at 1103 Bacons Bridge Road or call Ridenour at 843-693-7105 for details.
