SPD Officer Struck by Vehicle
Officer at MUSC being treated for injuries, listed in 'stable' condition.

A Summerville Police officer was struck by a motor vehicle Wednesday morning. The officer has been transported to MUSC for injuries in the collision, according to police spokesman Capt. Jon Rogers.
The incident occurred at about 6:45 a.m. at the corner of Highway 78 and North Cedar Street. The officer was working a previous motor vehicle collision and was crossing Highway 78, when an eastbound vehicle struck him, according to Rogers.
The S.C. Highway Patrol is investigating the collision. Count on 2 News reported the officer is in stable condition.
