Summerville Gun Shop Ad Pulled from ESPN
Local ad for East Coast Guns will no longer appear on ESPN.
ESPN will not renew a contract with a Summerville gun shop, which had ads placed locally promoting its business, the Post and Courier reported.
The ad that featured gunshots and promoted buying firearms "before time runs out" was for East Coast Guns of Summerville.Β East Coast Guns owner Ron Sprovero was recently interviewed by Patch about the increase in gun sales in the Lowcountry.Β
Sprovero told the Post and Courier his advertising contract was not renewed and that he was told ESPN stopped running all gun-related ads. But the Post and Courier reported ESPN has always had a policy not to accept firearm ads.Β
