Thieves Make off with Copper Wire from School

Dorchester County Sheriff's Office reports $300 in copper wire stolen from Knightsville Elementary School.

With two weeks before the start of school, thieves stole 100 feet of copper wire from Knightsville Elementary.

According to the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office incident report, the wire is valued at $300. 

On Monday, the school's maintenance supervisor called deputies to investigate two broken gray conduit pipes, which allowed the suspect or suspects to gain access to the wire. The wire came from two different classrooms.
