Toddler Found Floating in Pond, Retrieved Alive

A 1-year-old child nearly drowned Tuesday in an incident being investigated by Summerville Police, but that officials are calling an "accident," according to ABC News 4.

The child was retrieved alive and transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Police say the child apparently ran into the pond, but residents of the Farmington Village apartment complex told ABC News 4 that they found notes on their door to report suspicious activity to the police.
