Town Committee Discusses Brightening Streetlights

Public works committee meets Wednesday.

Summerville Town Council will meet to discuss brightening of streetlights in Robynwyn and Brownsville to help curb crime during the public works committee meeting 4 p.m. Wednesday at town hall.

Councilman Aaron Brown told Patch this week that this was part of the efforts to combat violent crime in those neighborhoods. 

The public works committee will also discuss: Sheep Island Interchange road construction and Woodland Estates traffic. See attached document for full agenda.

Dorchester County Council committees and full council will also meet this week. The transportation committee meets 6 p.m. Tuesday, the Parks and Recreation commission will meet 5 p.m. Wednesday, and the Water and Sewer committee will meet 6:15 p.m. Wednesday. See attached agendas for more.

At 7 p.m. in Summerville, county council will meet for a public hearing on allowing hens and rabbits on smaller plots of land and more. See attached agenda for details.
