This football seasoned is poised for the history books as the nation's winningest coach in high school football tries to clench 600 wins.

Summerville Greenwave Coach John McKissick has win No. 598 under his belt as his team defeated Beaufort High Eagles Friday, the Island Packet reported.

This Friday's game is against Colleton High, which continues an impressive losing streak at 0-8. 

Greenwave is 4-4 for this season.
