Vehicle Hits 2 Utility Poles, Overturns

Electricity down for several hours after Sunday wreck on Ladson Road.

A single vehicle collided with two utility poles and transformer Sunday night on Ladson Road near Margaret Drive, according to S.C. Highway Patrol.

The vehicle overturned and entrapped the occupant, who was transported to MUSC. Electricity went down for surrounding residences, and SCE&G was on scene to fix the outage.Β 

The wreck occurred at around 6:25 p.m. Sunday and emergency officials were on scene until 9 p.m.Β SCE&G reported 81 homes were without electricity until 10 p.m. Sunday.
