Weather Advisory for Wednesday

The National Weather Service predicts a possibility of severe thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon and evening. 

According to its site, residents in the Charleston area — including Summerville — should expect "numerous to widespread" showers and thunderstorms. The storms are a result of a cold front approaching from the west, which will make temperatures dip this week.

The storms will have the capability of producing large hail and damaging winds, according to NWS.

The service advises residents to continue to monitor the latest weather conditions.
