14-Year-Old League Student Charged in Gun Incident

The male student is charged with carrying a weapon onto school property

A 14-year-old League Academy student has been charged with bringing a gun to school.

On Tuesday, a school resource officer was informed that a gun had been found in the school.

A spokesperson for Greenville County Schools issued a statement that said the gun had been found by two male students in the boys' bathroom.

A 14-year-old male was arrested and charged with carrying a weapon onto school property, Greenville Police said.

Accoridng to police, the suspect provided information to police as to his involvement, as well as several other witnesses that observed him with the handgun.
