18 Unlawful Gaming Machines Seized at Area Businesses
Greenville Police, along with SLED, seized 18 illegal gambling machines and more than $900 from five businesses within the city limits of Greenville.
Through a joint investigation, Greenville Police and SLED have seized 18 illegal gambling machines and more than $900 in cash from five area businesses.
According to police, the business had been suspected of housing illegal gaming devices.
The devices, deemed to be illegal by South Carolina law, were seized Tuesday from five businesses in the City of Greenville. Also seized was $910.50 that was located in the machines.
Machines were seized from these businesses:
- The Palace — 56 Airview Drive — seven machines were seized, as well as $272 in cash.
- The Coliseum — 528 Haywood Road — four machines were seized and $77.
- CT's Grillin and Chillin — 215 Pelham Road — three machines were seized and $464.
- Zorba's Lounge — 1414 E. Washington Street — three machines were seized and $5.50.
- Cheers Food and Spirits — 2118 B Augusta St. — one machine was seized, as well as $92.
