The half-marathon course is all-new this year, and has been designed to reduce highway miles and potentially delaying railroad crossings.

The 10K course is a figure-eight design and the 5K course will take runners through downtown Greer.

Organizers are offering racers thirst-free and train-free guarantees.

If any of the water stations run out of water and you can’t get a drink, the race organizers will provide you with a special discount for the 2014 race, less the cost of your 2013 race shirt and souvenir mug. For the 5K, the discount is $10. The discount for the 10K is $20 and the discount for the half-marathon is $30.

Organizers plan to have a surplus of water supplies so runners won't be going thirst.

Courses have been designed to eliminate potential train delays, but the train-free guarantee will benefit runners if they do find themselves waiting for a train to pass.

If you are held up during the race by a train, the race organizers will provide you with a special discount for the 2014 race, less the cost of your 2013 race shirt and souvenir mug. For the 5K, the discount is $10. The discount for the 10K is $20 and the discount for the HM is $30.
