Greenville County Sheriff's Office's goal was to educate the violators and ultimately save the lives of the motoring public.

A traffic campaign to educate the public about the importance of wearing a seat belt resulted in more than 400 violations.
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit focused seat belt enforcement. The two-week campaign started officially May 20, was an effort to reduce traffic-related fatatlities in South Carolina.
Deputies identified 488 violators who were issued a $25 citation.
