The game will resume at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Wade Hampton High School.

When the game resumes at Wade Hampton Wednesday evening, Blythewood will have a runner at second, one out and No. 20 will be in the batter's box with a 3-1 count.

The second round of the 4A baseball playoffs was suspended after a heavy rain soaked the field Tuesday night.

The teams rushed to their dugouts. Fans crowded under umbrellas and under the awnings of buildings.

Finally, the rain slowed and the officials emerged onto the field to talk with the coaches. It was decided that the game would resume at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The winner of Wednesday's game will host the Upper State Championship Game expected to be played Friday.

The loser will host an elimination game at a date to be determined.
