Amazon Hiring Thousands in Spartanburg, Lexington

The company is hoping to employ about 50,000 workers in seasonal positions across 40 centers in the United States.

Amazon is looking to hire thousands of South Carolinians to fill positions in their Amazon Fulfillment Centers in Spartanburg and Lexington counties this holiday season.

On Tuesday, Amazon announced it would employ about 50,000 people throughout 40 work centers in the United States in an effort to complete holiday orders.

“In addition to the thousands of people we’ve hired for full-time jobs this year, we’re proud to be adding more than 50,000 seasonal jobs this holiday,” said Dave Clark, vice president, Global Customer Fulfillment in a release from the company. “We’re hiring at our sites across the U.S. for talented individuals to help us deliver a great experience for our customers this holiday season. Temporary associates play a critical role in meeting increased customer demand during the holiday season, and we expect thousands of temporary associates will stay on in full-time positions.”
