Bon Secours Named Gallup Great Workplace

Bon Secours Health System is one of the recipients of the 2013 Gallup Great Workplace Award.

The award honors organizations whose employee engagement results demonstrate they have the most productive and engaged workforces in the world.

Bon Secours Health System maintains its focus on ensuring that employees are engaged in their work. It has not always been so, according to a release from the hospital.

The company said in 2005, employee engagement was at the seventh percentile and nursing engagement was at the 54th percentile. In 2012, just six years later, after an all-out effort to change the culture of engagement at Bon Secours, employee engagement has reached the 96th percentile and nursing engagement is at 81st percentile.

Physician engagement has made incremental gains for the third straight year, and patient engagement has also reached high levels for the three years since 2010. Employee turnover has dropped from 21 percent to 13.2 percent.
