Wade Hampton Student named Achievement Scholar

A Wade Hampton High School student has won a $2,500 Achievement Scholarship through the National Achievement Scholarship Program.

Brandon T. Byrd, a student at Wade Hampton High School, is one of six Greenville County Schools seniors chosen as one of 800 outstanding Black American high school seniors to receive the scholarship.

Byrd plans to pursue a career in acting.
