Auditions for "The Little Mermaid"

The Greer Children's Theater will hold auditions for "The Little Mermaid," July 27 and July 29 at the Greer Recreation Department.

Auditions  are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 27 and from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 29. 

Callbacks will be at 6 p.m. July 30.

The show is open to ages 5 through seniors in high school. Kids must have turned 5 by June 1. 

What you need to know:

• Auditions will take place in groups of 5-8

• Learn a simple dance (wear dancing clothes and shoes)

• Prepare 16 bars of your favorite song (bring your own music)

• Some people may be asked to do a cold read

• Bring a non-returnable headshot

• Be prepared to wait so bring a quiet activity

Character Requirements:

Ariel- must be at least 13 and up

Eric- must be at least 13 and up

Between 60-80 people will be cast in this show.
