Baseball Playoff Games Will Continue Monday

Weather forced the delay of Saturday's game between the Wade Hampton Generals and the Dorman Cavaliers. They will play at 6 p.m. Monday at Wade Hampton.

Wade Hampton’s opening game of the Class 4A Upper State baseball tournament was washed out Saturday night and rescheduled for 6 p.m. Monday at home against Dorman.

The Generals won the District I championship Wednesday by sweeping a doubleheader at Nation Ford, 3-1 and 6-5. Wade Hampton and Dorman, along with Mauldin and Blythewood, are the final four teams left competing for the upper state title.

The survivor of that double-elimination tournament advances into a best-of-three state championship series against the winner of the lower state tournament featuring Lexington, Sumter, Beaufort and South Aiken.
