BMW Will Debut Concept X4 at Auto Shanghai

The vehicle is the next crossover model to be produced at BMW's Greer manufacturing facility.

Attendees at Auto Shanghai will get the first look at BMW’s X4 Sports Activity Coupe.

The vehicle, still in the concept stages, is expected to be manufactured at BMW's Spartanburg plant located in Greer and will go on sale later this year.

According to a press kit released by the company, here's the breakdown on the vehicle:

  • body length of 183 inches (4,648 mm)
  • a width of 75.4 inches (1,915 mm)
  • a height of 63.9 inches (1,622 mm)
  • its exterior dimensions signal sporting elegance and powerful robustness
  • a wheelbase measuring 110.6 inches (2,810 mm)

BMW Manufacturing Co. announced plans for the X4 last year. The $900 million investment announced at the same time was expected to increase production to 350,000 vehicles.

The plant currently produces the BMW X5, BMW X6 and BMW X3.
