Bob Jones University Student to Serve as Intern for Sen. Tim Scott

Ledbetter will assist senator's staff with research and constituent response.

Matthew Ledbetter, a sophomore accounting major at Bob Jones University, has been selected as an intern for U.S. Senator Tim Scott’s office in Greenville.

Ledbetter, a resident of Rock Hill, will serve during this semester which runs through mid-December. Interns are responsible for helping the senator’s staff with a number of tasks including researching issues , assisting the staff as they develop responses to phone and email inquiries from citizens across South Carolina and greeting visitors.

“Interns serve a vital role in helping me serve the people of South Carolina,” said Senator Tim Scott. “I’m pleased to have Matt join our team and see first-hand how rewarding public service can be.”

In addition to serving in Senator Scott’s office, Ledbetter is active in the University Business Association and serves as assistant head usher at BJU.
