Chelsea's Owner Says Spring Is All About Color
The boutique located in the heart of downtown says that shoppers are looking for fashions that will transition from spring to summer.
Say "goodbye" to pastels and "hello" to brighter colors and bolder prints this spring.
At Chelsea's in downtown Greer, owner Tarra Godfrey says there's nothing boring about this year's spring fashions.
Godfrey said as shoppers were looking for that perfect frock for Easter Sunday, they looked beyond that one day and on to spring and summer.

"Everything has gotten so much more casual," Godfrey said. "People are looking for spring, but also something they can use to transition into the summer months."
While recent days have proved to be cooler, the warm colors of spring are heating up the women's apparel shop and new things are arriving each day.

From jeans and cropped pants to shorts and skirts, and from tunics to tanks to jackets and lightweight wraps, vivid colors like emerald green, royal blue, lime, orange and hot pink pop off the racks in the store.
"If you find something you like and it's in your size, grab it," Godfrey said. "Because you won't see it again."
Vibrant colors and fun, modern patterns are on display throughout the store.
"Patterns are really popular this year," Godfrey said, as she pointed out some printed tunics and dresses. "And at times, it mixes things you never would have considered, like plaids and stripes."
Some of the tunics and dresses block two or more colors to create patterns with a nod to the '60s.
A more romantic look is also hot this year with elements including lace and shear overlays. Crocheted items are also trendy this year and can be paired with a tank top or a blouse.
Hemlines pretty much run the gamut, Godfrey said. More women are opting for shorter tunics with a cropped pant or legging. The "high-low" tops and skirts, where the hemline is long in the back and shorter in the front, also have become increasingly popular she said.
But don't worry if you can't add all of these looks into your wardrobe, Godfrey said accessorizing can give an old outfit a brand new look.
"A new scarf or necklace can change the look of an outfit," Godfrey said.
Monogrammed items are must-haves this season. From initial necklaces to clutch bags, personalizing with a pop of color could be what turns last year's dress into this year's masterpiece.
