City Of Greer: Rental Assistance Available For Spartanburg County Residents

Community Specialist Dominique Dawkins told Greer City Council at its July 27 meeting that the program, funded by the U.S. Treasury, has already disbursed $54,000 to City of Greer renters in Spartanburg County and more than $1 million to those in need in unincorporated areas of the county.

The program is for households of one or more persons who have or are experiencing housing instability or are at risk of eviction, and is based on household income. It includes late payments or penalties incurred after March 13, 2020, and cannot exceed 15 months.
