UPDATE: Man Charged in Taylors Murder
Suspect Richard Allen Ashford in county detention center awaiting bond hearing.
UPDATE: 4:50 p.m., Tuesday, June 4
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office said it has arrested and charged 59-year-old Richard Allen Ashford with murder regarding the incident that occurred earlier today in Taylors. Ashford and the victim in the case were involved in a domestic relationship prior to today’s incident. Ashford is currently being held in the Greenville County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
Still awaiting identity of the victim.

A man has been taken to the Greenville County Sheriff's Office after the body of a woman was found at a Brown Street residence in Taylors this morning.

Investigators say the body was found after the Greenville County Sheriff's Office was called out to a disturbance at 1 Brown Street at 10:30am this morning.
Sheriff's Office officials say the man in custody is not being called a suspect at this time.
Update: 12:38pm, Tuesday, June 4:
The Greenville County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal stabbing at Brown Street in Taylors. The victim is a woman. The name of the victim has not been released. Coroner's Office staff are speaking with family members now. Family members said the couple who live at the residence have had a troubled relationship.
