Easley Man Reported Missing in NC Found in Marietta

Albert Parsons, 76, was found unresponsive off the side of Highway 25 near Gap Creek Road. He was taken by ambulance to Greenville Memorial Hospital.

A 76-year-old Easley man reported missing from North Carolina was found Tuesday in northern Greenville County.

Greenville County Sheriff's deputies received a call around 5:30 p.m. from the security gatehouse at the Cliffs Valley Community located at 2 Knightsridge Road.

Deputies said the security guard told dispatchers that a man came to the gatehouse after finding a car with an unresponsive man on the side of Highway 25 near Gap Creek Road.

The man, identified as Albert Francis Parson, had been the subject of a Silver Alert issued May 17 by the Asheville Police Department, after Parsons left an Asheville-based assisted-living center.

Parsons was transported by ambulance to Greenville Memorial. According to the Silver Alert, Parson suffers from dementia. His medical condition is unknown at this time.
