Eastside Boys Advance to 3A State Championship Saturday

Eastside Eagles are now 3A Upper State Champions.

The boys soccer team sealed their chance to advance to the state title game Saturday with a 3-1 win Tuesday night at Wren.

With almost 24 minutes to play in the first half, Conner Hubbard gave the Eagles their first point.

Conner Hubbard scores at 23:58 of 1st half to give Eastside a 1-0 lead over Wren.

Stephen Henderson would score the next goal, giving the Eagles a 2-0 lead going into the second half.

With 23 minutes left to play in the second half, the Eagles would score a third time.

Wren would score only once against the Eagles' keeper, but it would be the team's only goal in the game.

Eastside will face Hilton Head at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Gilbert for the 3A state championship game.
