Emergency Alert System To Be Tested on Wednesday
FEMA will be conducting a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System at 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

FEMA will be conducting a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System at 2 p.m. Nov. 9.
The Emergency Alert System is normally tested on a monthly basis with participating stations, however Wednesday's test will be the first time that the system is tested nationwide on all broadcast channels. This test is scheduled to last for 30 seconds plus additional time for tones which will make the test approximately one minute total. During this time residents should not become concerned.
