Salute to Education

The 41st annual Salute to Education banquet will be held Thursday, May 17, 6:30 p.m., at the TD Convention Center in Greenville. The awards ceremony will recognize Valedictorians and other honor students from Greenville County Schools’ 14 high schools.

     Staff who have earned recognition at the state and national levels during the school year will be honored, as well as the 2011-12 GCS Teachers of the Year.  Three students will be named 2011-12 Students of the Year for their outstanding performance on the SAT or ACT college entrance test. 

     In addition, six Employees of the Year will be announced in the areas of school administration, assistant school administration, school support and operations, and District support and operations. The Employee of the Year Program is sponsored by Greenville Federal Credit Union.

          The Salute to Education banquet is sponsored by Greenville Federal Credit Union and The Rotary Club of Greenville, and is hosted by WYFF-TV Meteorologist Dale Gilbert.
