The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investingating a fatal wreck in Greer. According to troopers, the crash happened about 12:25 a.m. Nov. 5 on Jug Factory Road. Troopers said the driver of a 1996 GMC SUV was headed west on Jug Factory Road, when he ran off the right side of the road and struck a fence. The car overturned. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt, troopers said. The driver's name will be released pending next of kin verification from the Greenville County Coroner's Office.
