Father Charged with Sexually Assaulting 4-Month-Old

Evidence of the sexual assault was found during the child's autopsy. Investigators do not believe that the man caused the child's death.

Greenville Sheriff's deputies have charged a Greenville man with sexually assaulting his four-month-old daughter.

Victor Noe Ortiz Delvalle, 24, is charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor.

Evidence of the sexual assault was found during the child's autopsy.

On March 5, deputies responded to Views on Pelham at 3500 Pelham Road, for an unresponsive four-month-old female. During the death investigation the Sheriffs Office was notified by the Medical Examiner that evidence of sexual assault had been found during the autopsy. Additionally, forensics also reportedly found DNA evidence on the child's body and clothing.

The cause of the child's death is unknown at this time. Investigators do not believe that Delvalle is responsible for the child's death.

Delvalle went before a judge Friday night and was denied bond.

The judge said Delvalle was out of jail on bond for another criminal sexual conduct charge when this crime occurred, Fox Carolina reported.
