Fatz Names New Chief Financial Officer

Fatz, a subsidiary of Taylors-based Cafe enterprises, has chosen Fred Grant, Jr., as chief financial officer for the brand.

Fred T. Grant, Jr., has been named chief financial officer of Fatz.

Fatz, a subsidiary of Taylors-based Cafe Enterprises Inc., has restaurants in more than 49 communities in the Carolinas, Georgia, Tennessee and Virginia.

“We are delighted to have Fred join the FATZ family,” said Jim Balis, CEO of Cafe Enterprises. “Our restaurants have developed and flourished over the past 23 years and Fredʼs extensive financial experience is sure to help us take it to the next level.”

According to the company's release, Grant, a licensed Certified Public Accountant, brings more than 20 years of experience in finance to FATZ.

Prior to joining the Fatz team in November 2011, Grant served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Perkins & Marie Callenderʼs Inc. and chief financial officer and division president of Ryanʼs Family Steak Houses, a division of Buffets Inc.
